No. Virtual Drumline 2.5 is its own product which contains the complete 2.5 library, even if you purchased the "upgrade" version (which hasn't been available since around 2010). Also, VDL 2.5 uses its own unique serial number that is not tied to any previous version of VDL:2 you may have used in the past.

 

As with VDL:2, you are entitled to two installations of VDL 2.5 on your own computers. You are not permitted to share your VDL serial number with any other person. As a reminder, here's more info on the number of allowed installations, as well as our End User License Agreement (EULA).
