By using a soundblaster card, you're limited to ONLY the soundfont format, which isn't as powerful. If you're just getting started, I'd recommend you check out KOMPAKT, which will allow you to use the Gigastudio version of Virtual Drumline.
You can buy the academic priced version of Kompakt if you are a student or teacher for $99 as opposed to $199. More info here:

I have another question....what all accessories would i have to buy to make virtual drumline run in my finale program? I dont have anything thats mentioned on the website or on the disk or anything. I just want to know what all ii would have to get 2 get this thing up and running and also if i dont have to go out n buy anything

If you don't have a SoundBlaster card, you need a program like Kompakt or Kontakt or GigaStudio. I would recommend Kompakt since it's the cheapest. Then you download a program called Maple MIDI Tools and BAM!, you're all set. I believe this is all written out already on this site with the info for Virtual Drumline.

You shoulld also have a midi keyboard like the oxygen8 or the keystation49e (coming to tapspace soon) for entering notes.
