How would you write a hemiola. For example I'm trying to right a lick that has a hemiola ( 10 beats over 3 eight notes) and I don't know how to do it. Second does anyone know how to Notate a Buzz roll

As far as the hemiola thing--I'd have to mess with that to figure it out, but I'm sure there's a way to do it. When I figure it out, I will post how to do it if someone doesn't beat me to it.

For buzz rolls, I simply just notate the value as normal then go to symbols, and there is a "Z" with a vetical line through that you place right on top of the stem. There might be a better way, but I don't know it. If anyone has a better way, I would love to know as well!

Create>Tuplet

If you want to fit ten 16th notes within three 8th notes. Start by entering an eighth note. Select it, then go to the create menu and select tuplet. Type in this ratio - 10:3. Then go back to the 8th note you entered and change it to a 16th note, and proceed to enter in the remaining 9 notes.
