I'm not sure if you really care to take the time, but figured it wouldn't hurt to have a little wishlist of things that would be cool in VDL.
- "modern" piper snares
- duts
- "Dr. Beat" samples
- snare backsticking or playing with the butts
- two different pitches of 6" drums on tenors
- 8" tenor samples
Take it for what it is worth.
Just thoughts that were going through my head today. A very cool product "as is".
Individual bass drum rim clicks would be cool too!

Jim,
Sweet. Will the next version be offered as an upgrade to existing users or will we need to purchase a whole new version?

wat about instead of it being sample software u have to put into a existing program why not make Virtual Drumline its own software program all together? It would make it alot easier on the people who arent that good with computers n stuff. This way you would have all the different playbacks for all the drums on it already and sheet music n everything u would need. All u would have to do is pop the disk in yor cd drive, download it onto yor computer and your got yor own actual drumline software like finale but no other insturments. :)

Ummm....I think that would jack up the price A LOT since they'd have to create a music writing program. Besides, most of the people using Virtual Drumline write more than just for the battery. :)

Feverbass'04,
Word on the street is that Tapspace will becoming out with "Virtual Pit." No release date yet but keep your browser pointed to the Tapspace website. I'm sure it will satisfy your Virtual percussion needs!

I'd like to be able to pick the space and pitch (note?) for the bass drums tuning.

What I mean is that if I want to put bass 5 in the "F" space, I can EASILY do so. You can do it in Sibelius but the problem is, with VD, there are so many sounds/notes to move that are crammed into the Sibelius' House Style Staff types that you literally lose what you've moved and what hasn't been moved. It is my hope that on the VD template, the ability to select bass position and pitch would be like a drop down box or something similar to somewhat simply and clarify the process.

16" bass drum, small tenors, red jam block - the program would then be complete.
