i have a question about virtual drumline...i just got it not to long ago n i was wondering wat else do i need to make it work for me? i have Finale 2003. So wat else would i need to make it work for me so i can start getting realistic playback
If you have a soundblaster card, that's all you'll need. If not, you'll need a program like Kompakt, Kontakt or GigaStudio. Kompakt is the cheapest of the three. If you're going to be writing just battery stuff, Komakt will work just fine for you. You'll also need a program called Maple MIDI Tools. The best part about that program is that it's FREE!

There is a very good PDF on the CD that you should look at for information on ways to make it work for you. Also, this forum is full of information. It'll take a small amount of time to browse the postings and find the information you're looking for (and more).
Check that PDF first.

Did you ever read the help file on the CD? You do have the CD, don't you? The file is called "Help File.pdf".
On pages 8, 9, and 10 there are cute little drawings that show you what you will need.
They are suprisingly informative for cute drawings.

If you want to turn a Finale file into a PDF file, you need to buy a copy of Adobe Acrobat. Not just the free download reader, but the whole thing.

Or if you are a Mac OSX user, you can create PDF's automatically by selecting the "Print" function, and clicking the "save to PDF" button.

I thought about adding that reply myself Adam, but I figured I might come across sounding like a computer snob (I love OSX).

Creating a PDF is easy:
>File
>Print>
>Select "Acrobat Distiller" instead of your standard printer.
The computer will ask you to coose a location on your hard drive for your pdf to be saved.
>Click print
>You have a document that anyone with reader can view and/or print, unless you assign a password so they can't print.
