I would like to go from the Dreadlock tenor sound to the puffy tenor sound, and still stay on the same staff. Is this possible?

Need more information.

Which soft sampler or sound card are you using? Which library, giga or sf?

If you're using sound font then you need to enter in a midi instrument change. This also means having that keymap and library loaded into the sampler/sound card and listed as an instrument in the instrument window.
