The Mac Mini barely meets the minimum requirements for CPU and will need to upgrade to 512 MB of RAM minimum, but you will have a lot of problems if you don't use 1 GB of RAM. The 256 MB it comes with is barely enough to run OS X and a single program, so when you get into a multi-tasking environment where you have multiple audio programs working together, plus VDL2 samples loaded into RAM, you will likely experience audio drop-outs or other problems.

It should work fine. Like any computer program, make sure you have enough memory, HD space and a DVD player.
