I know that the VDL finale template brings up the correct staves and sounds. I there a way to create a score (battery and pit) from the setup wizard and then assign the VDL sounds to the battery sounds. I do I have to use the template and then find some way to add the pit staves to the template. What do I need to do

Use the VDL template and add additional instruments. You have a choice of just adding staves or using the setup wizard, take the setup wizard. I'll post a more detailed procedure later.
