I am interested in upgrading to VD2 (and Kontakt 2?) -

System Specs:
Mac iBook G4, OS 10.3.9, 1.33 GHz, 768 MB DDR SDRAM, Superdrive

Do I need BOTH Virtual Drumline 2 AND Kontakt 2, or is it possible to use the Kontakt software (full version included, or not?) bundled with VD2?

TS - you don't need Kontakt 2 to use VDL2. VDL2 comes with it's own customized KONTAKT PLAYER software which will play the sounds for you. Please note, this ";kontakt player"; isn't the same thing as Kontakt...the VDL2 Kontakt Player is just that - a player. You can always upgrade to Kontakt later if you find you need the extra editing features and higher multi-timbrality it offers as VDL2 is compatible Kontakt 1.5.3 and Kontakt 2.
