Sounds Play Twice - Like 2 1/16 notes

I have a windowsxp machine.  I load only the VDL2 Kontakt player and every time I click the keyboard, it plays the note twice.  Like two 1/16 notes.  I checked that only the Yoke NT 1-8 are turned on.  On or off it does the same thing.  I have a software package that I will use with this when it works correctly.  When I load the notation program it does the same thing on playback.  I've tried it with Sibelius 3 as well and the same thing.  Da Da.  Da Da.  is the sound I get in 1/16 notes.  How do I fix this?
Sounds like you may have your MIDI Outputs on in VDL2. They should be off. In VDL2, go to File>Setup>MIDI. Make sure all the items listed in output interface are set to OFF.
I have the same problem and none of the output interfaces are on.  It's frustrating. I just bought VDL 2.
Help!
Please list your system information, including soundcard settings (from the VDL2 Soundcard Setup dialog). Any other specfic information about what you're doing to get this behavior will be helpful in diagnosing.

What happens when you click on the keyboard in the VDL2 player?  One sound or two?

If I were going to reproduce your steps, what would I do?
I am also having the same problem.  All MIDI outputs are off.  When you click on the keyboard in VDL2 it also plays 2 notes.

I have the same problem after loading it for the first time yesterday.  I have an HP laptop.  The soundcard info in VD2 shows Direct Sound Interface, 44100 SplRat and a DS Conexant AMC Audio Output Device.  I have Sibelius and a few other programs that I don't think should interfer (Acid, Cool Pro Edit, etc.)

It also sounds rather distorted when I load anything into the Kontakt Player.

Also, when I tried to use Midi Yoke to connect to Sibelius, I don't see the Midi Yoke items listed in the Sibelius devices list?
I have a feeling this is something related to audio card drivers. If you have an ASIO driver available to choose from (in the VDL2 soundcard setup), that would be recommended. If you don't, it probably means your audio card is a basic, consumer model and didn't come with ASIO drivers, so you might try installing the ASIO4all driver available for free at http://www.asio4all.com. There are some other threads on this forum about asio4all that might be of interest as well if you do a search.

Other than that, I'm a little stumped, and offer that you might get a more in-depth answer from NI tech support. For tech support questions related to VDL2, you can fill out the online support form at NI by first logging in to your NI account (the same one you used when registering VDL2), then filling out the online form. If you don't see an option for ";Tapspace Products"; in the product group, select either Garritan or Kontakt, and you should be directed properly.
Thank you for your help Jim.

It was in the soundcard setting.  When I changed the VD2 interface to a multimedia setting that I have the distortion and double triggering is corrected.  Thanks for your help, and the great sounds.
