I was wanting to find out how to create my own staff types in Sibelius, since many instruments do not have one. The subject is lightly touched on elsewhere, but is not explained in detail. I have not had too much success from a trial and error standpoint. This might be a good topic for ";Helpful Hints and Tutorials";

This is a Sibelius question and not a Virtual Drumline question, so that's why in-depth notation software tutorials aren't being done.  You can find the info in the Sibelius manual or even chat with Sibelius Help Center if you've registered your software. 

In short, use the ";i"; key to bring up the instruments list, and after you add one you can go into staff properties to change how many lines, size, etc.
