I have Sibelius 4 on my desktop and notebook. My notebook is older and won't hold VDL2. Can I take a Sibelius 4 file that uses VDL2, work on it on my notebook when I'm out and about and bring it back to the desktop without any problem?
Sure! Obviously you won't have the sounds running on your notebook, but as long as you're using the VDL2 Sibelius template (which contains all the percussion keymapping), it'll all be retained in the Sibelius file when you bring it back to the desktop. It won't be very easy to ENTER sounds on the notebook without actually hearing them, but if you're more concerned with portability and the file staying in tact, that's no problem at all.

Yes, I do it all the time. Just make sure that you are working from the template provided by Tapspace. Bear in mind that you will most likely get piano sounds from your laptop when playing back. Make sure that you do not ";reset the sounds"; when working on your laptop or you will have to go back on your desktop and reconfigure your midi mapping.
