Off-Topic: Digital Percussion Notation Survey

Hey all,

I apologize that this is a little off-topic, but it's such a great community of percussion arrangers it's hard to resist.

I was wondering if some of you would be willing to answer a couple of questions through email (filling out a short answer form I'd send you) about the current state of digital percussion notation.  Just some of your general thoughts about the stresses of percussion notation, where the current software fails to support the percussion community, and where the real bottlenecks in productivty are for notation arrangements.  It would also be great to hear about where you think the current software and supplemental software (*cough*VDL*cough*) are really making our lives easier.

This info will be used in a formative requirements analysis for my masters in computer science thesis, which I am tentatively thinking about incorporating percussion into.

Let me know if you're interested and I'll drop you the form.

Thanks!
Justin
This is cool Justin. I hope you're able to collect some good information from folks here (participate everyone! :), and that it incorporates well into your thesis.

Good luck!
