Installation Troubles: "Corrupt Installation File"

Just got my VDL2 in the mail today - and I am having troubles installing. I am getting an I/O error when the installation attempts to copy the file C:\Program Files\TapSpace\Virtual Drumline 2\html\img\shredder.gif.

Tried ";retry"; a few times, to no avail. Hit abort, and message states that it is a corrupt installation file. (see screenshots) - Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks,
Steve

Steve - I just sent you an email. Get back to me when you can, and we'll figure this one out together.
I received my 2.5 upgrade last week Thursday.  While installing this morning, i received the following error: ";An I/O error occured while installing a file.  This is normally caused by bad installation media or a corrupt installation file";.  Everything is up-to-date and PLENTY fast for the software (just got done rebuiliding - Pentium Dual-core 3.2GHz, SigmaTel Audio, Intel Graphics Media Accelerator Drive, 1 GB Ram,

I don't know how to do screen shots, sorry.

Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.  Indoor season is upon me...

Chris - sorry to hear of your trouble installing. There is most likely not anything wrong with the DVD you received, but you may want make sure it's clean of any dirt or fingerprints just in case.

What may be happening is that there could be a conflict with your virus protection software. Reboot your machine and disable any virus protection before attempting to re-install.

If you do a quick Google search on this error, you'll likely find that this is an error message that many other Windows/PC users have seen for various reasons. It's likely that there's nothing wrong with your installer disk but just something within the system causing the error. Keep us posted though.
