VDL2 possibly for Christmas, need help quick though

I've been wanting VDL:2 for a while now, and it's possible for Christmas.  But I had a question about how it would work with my setup:

Powerbook G4 1.67GHz
1 GB RAM
100 GB HDD
Finale 2004
NO MIDI keyboard.  (In part due to no room in dorm)

I want to use VDL:2, but can I do it with this?  Especially the lack of midi keyboard.
A midi keyboard like a Keystation 49e or O2 is probably best to have, but if you don't have one, there's a great new option for OSX 10.3.9+ users that allows you to use a software utility to enter your pitches. It's listed here:

Props to Corey Peterson for making this an option!

Is my computer enough to run it you think?
CPU for the Powerbook is enough to run VDL, however you may want to add more RAM.

Ted Boliske
Yeah. 1 GB of RAM is a good start, but if you max out your powerbook (2 GB), it's even better in the long run.
