Alright guys, I am having a ton of fun playing with the vocals and adding them to some pieces. A request for future release...drum speak. You know the sounds that your drumline instructor sings to you as the rest of the band looks on in total confusion, yet the drumline understands perfectly clear? How 'bout it? I know it isn't a universal language but the syllables would be cool to put together licks.
Let's round up a few folks, say 10 or so total, and meet somewhere and record it all for Jim. Actually that could be a ton of fun.
(BTW, the above is said in all seriousness, let's do it.)

Do I hear the first VDL convention?
I want an ";of"; for vocals... There are a lot of U of somethings out there...
Maybe we can score some Bluecoats; they seem well versed. ;)

Yeah Bill! We have to figure out a central place to meet...too bad the idea wasn't around during Nats, I could of hosted a get together at my place here in Boston. I wonder what drum speak would sound like in Boston Symphony Hall? Any ideas?

How about WGI world's this year? I'll be there, Jim will be there, Murray will be there. Heck, everyone will be there.

That might work. Let me check the orchestra calendar tomorrow to make sure I don't need to be in town. Anyone else want to hook up in Dayton to record some drumspeak?

I want a ";dirt dial"; where I can adjust a knob to simulate different levels of playing ability :) If you're going to record more vocals, please add in an angry ";CUT!"; and some cheers while you're at it.

Anyone else have the feeling that Jim is rolling his eyes as he reads this and saying ";Thanks Gabe and Bill, I hate you both.";?
Jesse, I like you idea of the CUT and cheers.

There is no doubt in my mind. We'll have to also record ";from the top!"; and the voice from the Dr. Beat saying ";1 E An UH, 2 E an Uh etc...";

And of course, no vocal library would be complete without ";OK guys, let's run that one more time";

Of course we could also make a sample ";great one liners";
";For the love of QUAD!";

A ";dirt dial"; would be a lot more fun than quantizing notes off to give it the 17 person high school battery sound.
