Rochester, NY -- January 11th, 2006 -- Ambrosia Software, Inc. announced today the release of WireTap Pro 1.1.4. This minor bug-fix update of the audio capture utility, which is free to registered users of WireTap Pro 1.x, may be downloaded here:
WireTap Pro 1.1.4 features the following changes/enhancements:
-- Recordings no longer fall back on the default input device if the selected device is unavailable. An error message is reported.
-- Saving to iTunes now correctly saves recordings to the library when Copy on Add option isn't selected in iTunes under all circumstances.
-- The system's temporary directory is now used for scratch space if the user chosen scratch location is deleted.
-- Fixes a crash that occur under rare circumstances on some machines if a device is immediately unplugged after dismissing the preferences dialog.
-- WireTap Pro no longer changes the sample rate of input devices prior to recording. The user must do this in Audio MID Setup. A Configure... button was added to bring this app up.
-- Addresses a problem that caused certain USB devices (spefically those that show up as USB Audio Codec) to not work correctly with WireTap Pro after updating to OS X 10.4.3.
