Hey all,

I am having some weird problems with the lyrics tool in Finale 06 on the VDL2 template, and the problem has been one of the following two quirks:

1) I enter lyrics but they seem to disappear and are only viewable when I attempt to edit them again. Also, the ";verse"; arrows to the left have disappeared.

or

2) I click on notes with the lyric tool but nothing happens.

I have racked my brain, but cannot seem to find a solution. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I have not seen this happen. However, I'm using a Mac OS X.3.9 and the latest Finale update (2006c).

So, I was messing around withit again today and tried downloading the original template on the site here. When I open it in 06, it gives me a message stating that the template was created using Finale 05 for Mac. Should that be a problem? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

So, I just downloaded the 2006c update of Finale and that fixed the problem.

Glad to hear the problem is fixed. FYI, whenenver you open a Finale file, using the current version, which was created in an older version (FIN2005) it will show that box. It will also allow you to save the file in the newest version without changing the original.
