I have 2 questions......1. Who do I need to talk to for registration help? I registered VD2 on my old computer once and then found out I didnt have the enough Ram to use the program..So i got a laptop with all the recommendations, The program is running but for some reason it wont let me register my software so I wont be able to use in like 4 days...2. For some reason the glockenspiel will not work. Every other instrument that I am using is working except it....I have the channels set, midi set and everything, I just dont know what the problem is...Im using VD2 with Finale 2006.......Any help would be appreciated..Thanks
...and select ";view and manage authorizations";. If you don't remember your password to login with, you can click the ";forgot password"; link. Typically, your NI username will be the same as your email address.

It would be helpful to have a bit more information. There is more than one glockenspiel in VDL2. Are none of them working? If you hear it when clicking on the VDL2 Kontakt Player keyboard (on screen with your mouse), but aren't hearing it from Finale, it's likely that your channels aren't set properly. The channel your glock staff is set to (in Finale's instrument list), and the channel it's set to (in VDL2) must be the same.

Jim,
OK...Sorry to keep asking questions but this is getting kind of frustrating...I typed in my email and everything to unregister my desktop so that i can put my software on my laptop and it said that my password was wrong..I tried to get NI to send me my password by putting my serial number and email address in....It said that my serial did not exist....I have put it in over 20 times looking directly at my serial number that is on the sleeve that my VD2 disk came in. I still have my invoice and everything and am just wondering why this isnt working. I am trying to get it registered on my laptop because I am supposed to start writing for a school in 2 weeks and I told them that i would be using VD2. But I cant even use it at all because my 20 day trial is up....I hope that you can help....
Thanks for your time,
Jordan Williams

Are you certain that the email address you're using (to sign on with NI) is the one you used when you first registered the software? It's important that the email address (used as your account ID), and password are exact when signing in. If you're still having problems NI has a support form just for registration questions at: https://www.native-instruments.com/index.php?id=regsuppfrm_us
In the meantime, send me a PM with your email address and serial number, and I'll see if there is anything I can find from my end.

As far as the glockenspiel problem goes, I also had the same problem. I found that the problem was in the transposition setup in the Glock staff setup.
It's strange because technically the staff is set up correctly, as glocks are written an octave lower than they sound, but for some reason it plays back correctly when you uncheck the transposition box. I don't know if this is a problem exclusive to 06 that wasn't a problem when the 05 template was made. Bill, did you help set up the Finale templates? I found this strange when I first started using it and thought that maybe my case was a unqiue one, but repeat cases always tend to help these problems towards being able to hold water.
I hope this helps.

The transpositions don't apply because the sound source is a sampled instrument. This is true for the xylophone as well.

I didn't set up the Finale templates. After it taking so long for my eyes to uncross from setting up the Sibelius templates, I let others take care of Finale :)
I know I caught the transposition problem in Sibelius before the templates were released.
