Help!. I have wasted a day on this. I can not get VDL2 to show up as an option in the VST setup menu of Finale 2006c. I have all current software installed. I was told by a friend I dno longer needed the MIDI Yoke and that all I had to do was follow the Finale instructions for Native Instruments VST in the latest manual relaese. I did that and it doesn't work. Everything is so cumbersome and confusing. Does anyone have an answer?
Sounds to me like you need to place the VDL:2 .dll file in the FinaleVST folder. You simply copy the file from the VDL:2 plugin folder and paste it in the FinaleVST folder.
Look in - C:\Program Files\Tapspace\Virtual Drumline 2\VSTPlugins
There should be a file named VirtualDrumline2VST.dll. Copy and paste it to the following directory:
I am having the same problem.... I have pasted the Vst pluggin into finale, but it will not show up in the pull down menu in Native instrument Vst setup.
I am running Finale 2006

Couple things. What do you mean when you say you've pasted the plugin into Finale? If you carefully follow the instructions in the QuickStart guide, it tells you exactly which file (VirtualDrumline2VST.dll) needs to be copied into the FinaleVST folder. Can we assume you're using Windows? If you're a Mac user, the process is different (but again, this is covered step-by-step in the QuickStart guide).
Are you using the current version of Finale 2006?
Also, once you've properly placed the plugin, you will need to restart Finale before you will see it in the Native Instruments Setup window.
If we've missed some details, be sure to respond back with a step-by-step process of exactly what you have done thus far.
