Activating Banks in Kontakt 2

I am using Kontact 2.1.1 and Finale 2005b and Midi yoke.  Please excuse me if I use the wrong terminlogy for Kontakt, I just got the program yesterday.  I've watched the tutorial video about how to load different banks with different instruments on one channel.  But, right now I have no sound at all except for battery instruments.  How do you get finale to play those back?  I have the virtual midi cable setup on 1 in finale and kontakt.  I have setup all the inputs for the midi channels for kontakt.  Here's a screenshot.

My Finale chops are slightly rusty, but might this have something to do with sending the right MIDI messages with the MIDI tool in Finale?

This might be totally wrong, but one solution would be to try the following:

1) Select the MIDI tool in Finale, then double click the first measure with any music in it (or the first of the piece to be safe).
2) go to MIDI Tool > Continuous Data > Patch Change
2) Click and drag on the MIDI graph where you want the program/patch/instrument to start playing.
3) go to MIDI Tool > Set To
4) Once the dialog box pops up, select the appropriate program for the instrument you have assigned in Kontakt.

Like I said, this is essentially a conjecture on my part, but I figure it's at least worth a shot.

Hope this works out for you!
Thanks, it worked like a charm!
Update:  I got the sounds in bank one to respond.  Do I use the again midi tool when I want to change banks?
Update 2: I figured out how to change banks:

1) Select the MIDI tool in Finale, then double click the first measure with any music in it (or the first of the piece to be safe).
2) go to MIDI Tool > Continuous Data > Patch Change
3) Click and drag on the MIDI graph where you want the program/patch/instrument to start playing.
4) go to MIDI Tool > Set To
5) Patch (dropdown) select: ";Bank Select 0, Bank Select 32, Program Change"; then apply appropriate bank assignment to ";Program Change";.

Let me know if there's a better way. Thanks!
Scott,

I created step by step thing that shows you how to create MIDI messages in expressions here...

This may not be pertinent to what you're working on, but being able to assign regularly used commands to point and click type commands will help streamline the process.

Just food for thought.
