I never did mind the strange way unison bass drum notes would show up until a few students complained that they were a little too strange to read.  The stem runs down past the note head and the beams are a little too low.  I've tried to manipulate the stem length using 'stem length tool' but that only works on unbeamed notes.  Anyone have any suggestions as to fix this?

Update to the latest template. This was a visual that bothered my eyes as well. I changed the noteheads when the templates were updated to add the new keymaps.

FYI, changing noteheads is an easy fix. Staff Attributes/ (Instrument)/Notation(percussion)/select keymap

Not attempting to take the thread OT but for some reason I believe I should know Dave from somewhere out side of this forum. I just hit 48 in early August and there are times I think I've forgotten more stuff than I remember. Drop me an email or message Dave and we can compare histories.
