I strongly suggest that everyone check out the Native Instruments web page. There are major updates coming in October for 2 of NI's apps, Absynth 4 and Battery 3. If you've never tried Absynth and wish for a soft synth which could create some of the best sounds, please check out the demo. It is one of the best apps for sound creation and design. Battery is like a drum machine and sampler on steriods and the newest update includes marching percussion sounds courtesy of Tapspace. There that keeps it somewhat on topic.
