Hey hows everybody doing at Tapspace, me just enoying my 20th Birthday, YUP YUP!!!!! Anyways I was wondering, when using VDL2 what takes up more memory, using the LITE Battery Instruments or the VDL1 Battery Instruments?
Thanks,

LITE battery instruments will take up more memory than VDL1 instruments. Primarily because they contain more sounds. They're called ";lite"; because they're scaled down versions of the FULL VDL2 instruments (same choice of sounds, but less velocity layers requiring less samples loaded).
So if the additional sounds offered in the LITE (aka FULL) versions aren't sounds you need, you can certainly use the VDL1 instruments to consume less RAM. Keep in mind, there are a few minor mapping differences between the LITE and VDL1 instruments, so if you decided to switch to VDL2 instruments in the future, you may encounter a few incompatibilities.
You can compare the available sounds by viewing the keymap diagrams in your VDL2 user guide.
PS - happy birthday! :)
