Following up on the other topic about Rochambeaux, we have also just released a new arrangement of Isaac Albéniz piece made famous on classical guitar, Leyenda. This piece is arranged for marimba solo by Giff Howarth along with a beginning-level percussion ensemble accompaniment.
The recording for this product was created using sounds exclusively from Virtual Drumline 2. Hear the ";Leyenda"; recording and learn more about the piece here.
Great Recording!! Sounds like a great arrangement. Nice realistic sounding rolls as well on the marimba.

With the exception of single-note rolls (which use mod-wheel control), all rolls were played in live in real time to give them a more natural sound.

Yet another great piece from Tapspace! This definitely will in a gap in the literature (a good solo with a accompaniment part that is not terribly difficult - PERFECT to feature a student soloist or a guest soloist). Thanks!!!

May I ask what programs were involved in the making of the sound file?

The recording was made with VDL2 sounds loaded into Kontakt 2. Kontakt 2 was hosted in Logic Pro, and reverb used was Altiverb. That's it!

Altiverb is great, one of the best sounding digital reverbs on the market today.
Makes me re-think using a real plate reverb on my snare tracks in the studio :-) .

Is there any way you can make an mp3 of the VDL version available? The recording sounds great. I think it would be helpful as a practice aid for us who bought the score.
Thanks.

Sure. The Flash player has the capability to allow downloads, however it will take some modifications to create this functionality. PM me and I'll arrange to send you the MP3 for your use with the piece.

Jim,
I saw that you added the ";Download Song"; icon to the Flash player.
Thank you.

You're welcome! :)
We'll start implementing this. Certain recordings that contain live performances (such as Blue Motion) may not be permissible for downloading, but VDL2 renderings are fair game.
