Which would be easier in the long run with the VDL 2, also would one of these be all I would need to access all the sounds I need for battery and pit?

Both work well with VDL2. With regards to which is best or easier, download a demo of each and find out which best fits your style of working and thinking.

That's what I thought, I just wanted to make sure there wasn't a new notation program out I didn't know about. :)
BTW, what do you guys think about Notion?
