I know this is a Sibelius issue, I'm within my waiting period of hearing back from them. If you haven't messed with Sibelius 5 yet, ignore this post!

They changed the Edit Staff Types and Staff Type Change options and now I can't figure out how to make them happen! I tried to make a staff type change on the VDL2 Template for Sib 4 and there weren't VDL2 staff types available to me. I thought I had it figured out in the Edit Instruments section, but nope.

Anyone out there messed with Sib 5 and figured this out yet? Do I need to chill out and be patient?

Jim and I are currently working on new templates for Sibelius 5.  We thought it was going to be easier than it is turning out.  We'll get the new templates as soon as we can.

I can't speak for Jim obviously, but I'm sure I can at least come up with some sort of documentation once the new template is available.

Having browsed through the Sibelius 5 demo, I'm ultra excited about the added ability for articulations and stem decoration distinguishers in addition to noteheads in the new staff mapping. I think that's a great feature that will be very useful for VDL maps. :)

";Instrument Changes"; are what you'll be looking for. This won't to you much good yet till we can get the Sibelius 5 template more workable, but it's making progress. Hopefully some news to report soon. Hang in there, and thanks for your patience!
