I am working my way through the book as time allows.  I am around 4-5 chapters in now.  What is the ";SCV tenor memoir"; you mention?

Not for the Faint of Heart is a great journal by Jeremy Van Wert.  Really captures what it's like to be out there for 9 weeks straight pouring it all in.
