I played that lick on a drumset in 8th grade to convince my dad to buy me my own kit. 

It's how i used to teach young students the old 'double beat' rhythm. A classic for sure.

Ahahaha that's awesome.  I remember when my parents got me my first set out a trading journal it only had one tom, and I eventually convinced them to get me a full set later on ";because it's hard to play stuff like Phil Collins.";
