Trent did this with some songs from their previous record a few years ago. It's also fun to mess with the MIDI info on the Logic session files and use your own synths.
Vrenna did some great stuff with NIN, especially on The Downward Spiral.
Danny Lohner (NIN, A Perfect Circle, Marylin Manson) has some cool remixes out there as well, under the name Renholdr.
If you're into cool industrial/electronica stuff, Puscifer's (Maynard James Keenan from Tool & A Perfect Circle) first album comes out at the end of the month. Features some help from Lohner, Tim Commerford & Brad Wilk (Rage Against the Machine, Audioslave), and Josh Eutis (Telefon Tel Aviv).

There is also ";arhythmiA: Drums & Drones"; from Sony which is a sample library from NIN drummer Jerome Dillon, NIN sound designer Keith Hillebrandt.
A few years ago I went to a Reason class that was run by Chris Vrenna (NIN, Marylin Manson, and many more) which helped me find a good workflow for software/hardware.
