I've got a brand new iMac with 3gigs of ram, 2.4ghz intel core 2 duo, and I'm still getting clicks and hiccups during full score (full indoor anyway) playback. I thought I had found a balance between latency and dfd ram settings, but apparently not. Here's what I've got set up:
Amount of memory reserved for DFD: 208.95 (maximum number of stereo voices able to play: 399)
Output Latency: 26ms
I've also decreased the release tails on sustaining instruments.
I'll be glad to post any other settings I need to in order to smooth things out.

If you are running Sib. 4, then you are running under Rosetta mode, which could lead to your hiccups. Rosetta is faking out your system to think that Sibelius is UB, which it is not. Also, are you using a pro audio card or the stock sound card? That may also lend to the hiccups although Mac cards are usually pretty good.

It's just the stock card. I completely forgot about Sib4 and Rosetta. I bet that's what it is. I also noticed a bit of a performance drop from Tiger to Leopard.
