Is there any way to still order/download the VDL 1 library?  All i want is the sounds, so i can use them as samples in reason.  I have purchased a copy of VDL 2.5.  any chance of a free downgrade so to speak?  Or a way to use the VDL 2.5 sounds in reason?

I don't know about using the 2.5 sounds in Reason but I do know that the VD1 drum line sounds were improved (added to, etc) within the construct of VD2/2.5 for what it is worth.  Someone with more Reason knowledge than I will hopefully chime in regarding the use of the sounds within that program.

VDL1 has been discontinued and is no longer available. VDL 2.5 comes with its own sample playback engine (Kontakt Player 2), so there would be no need to use an extra, separate piece of software to load the sounds into. The sounds are all accessible directly via Kontakt Player without the need to purchase additional software.

Since Reason does not support VST, AU, RTAS, or DX plugin formats, you would be unable to host VDL 2.5 sounds in Reason.
