I've got a problem when I'm entering in notes for Finale 2008, a lot of times when I reach the end of a measure the program freezes. Anybody have any insight on this?
I'm using the Virtual Midi Keyboard for my entry device, but I'm not entering in notes fast as I saw in a tutorial not to.
I found that I had to enter it pretty slow, and since then I haven't had any lockups. Kind of a pain, but better than having to save every few seconds.
I would look into getting a hardware controller of some sort, like the M-Audio ones (which are fairly inexpensive).

Hey Justin, How ya been
Yea, I've got a controller on the way, of course I'm just tryna keep on schedule with some music that I gotta give to the high school.
But I should have any problems with freezing with a controller though, would I?

You might want to try deleting the Preferences for Finale:
1. Go to the C:\Program Files\Finale 2008 2. Deleting the FINALE.INI and FINMIDI.INI files They are listed as ";Configuration Settings"; when ou scroll your mouse over the file.
This will allow FInale to make new Preferences when it restarts.

Also another question....When I want to save the file as an audio file, it doesn't give me the option of an MP3, only a .WAV file...how about some insight on that?

Finale won't let you save as MP3 when using VST/AU. If you use the softsynth instruments, you can.
Save it as a WAV, then convert to MP3 in iTunes or wherever.

Once again, insight would be helpful.
