OT -- Garage Band Question

I'm working on making a cut in a song for our Winter Guard using Garage Band.  I've got time markers for where the cut needs to be, but is there a way to enter those specific time markers to select what needs to be cut, as opposed to clicking and dragging and hoping I can get it to line up with the right 1/100th of a second?

(Man I hope my question made sense.)
Keith,

It should be possible using Garage Band to edit audio in this manner. I must admit that I have not used it for this purpose. However, I don't really think you will get the detailed results you wish. A better option would be to use Audacity, which is a freeware audio editor.

^^ very true!!!  ^^
The way GB works is the farther out you are zoomed, the more it tries to ";snap"; the clip or note into place. Zoom in for more accurate snaps, or if you want uber control, hold the CTRL button while dragging something. This will ignore the snap feature.

I haven't used the newest version yet, but I don't think there is a way to manually enter these values. I'm away from my mac currently, but you can try double clicking in the info window (the one with all the times, etc.) and seeing if it will let you manually enter values.
Thanks everyone for the tips.  Ted, I was going to use Audacity until I realized I didn't have on my iMac in my office, just on my laptop.

I was able to get a decent cut just clicking and dragging though, but I tend to get a little OCD about that stuff.  I was using Cool Edit Pro back in the day and really liked how you could type in specific time values.

I guess I just have to get Audacity on my iMac.  :)
