And here I thought I knew my percussion instruments... I had to look that one up. Never knew those things had a name. I always just called them clunky, toneless cowbells. :P

The sample availability would be nice to have - I just wish the real deal didn't cost so much.

Would anyone else be interested in Log drums or something like tubano or tumbadora? This may sound strange, but I've used these more in my time at University and teaching High school than Almglocken. Sordo etc. ... maybe I have just done more latin style pieces than any other genre. Just wondering what other peoples' thoughts were. Good suggestion though.
yea mbira's are pretty cool.... Erica Azim (sp?) was here at SHSU about a month or two back. It was pretty interesting. The addition of these sounds would be awesome!!!

I think Gabe just discovered the marquee function :-) That or he's been saving it over a rainy day.

My bad..... you are correct. I was sitting at my work computer and did look it up. Again, my bad.
Are there Brazilian batucada instruments (Surdo, pandiero, tambourim)? That'd be cool too. Just thinking out loud.

[move]go Marquee and color type![/move]
But, Odaiko, Shimedaiko, would be cool. For now there are great substitutes for these drums (bongo, conga etc.)
