I am on a laptop and using Sibelius 5. My sibelius normally works fine, I have used it on compositions with 5 or 6 different parts, but now, with 13 parts, whenever I use playback to hear my composition, sibelius plays it, but there is a layer of static on top. Please help me clear this up. Thanks!

I had this a while back and all I did was go to my controls for audio engine and reset the latency.  That is all it took.  Good luck.

I can't find the audio engine in my control panel.... vista is so confusing!

Try this:

Play-- Playback devices-- Audio Engine Options

See if that works.  When I open the audio engine options, my settings are there.  I hope this helps.
