If anyone has some time to help me out. I just purchased VDL2.5 and I am having a tough time loading it onto my computer. I have WindowsXP. I know I have plenty of space. Do I need to get more items for this to work? I'm so confused right now by reading what some of you write down. I'm anxious to get this going and ready to write for my lines. I always used chicken scratch, and now I'm virtually pushed into this format. Please, don't be shy to let me know I'm a rookie, because I am. Thanks in advance!
First thing to do is to check the Tapspace Forum Guidelines & FAQ's (frequently asked questions). Use the link provided to you in the previous post by Fliggity. Next, use the search feature close to the top of this webpage to search for solutions/answers to problems/questions.
All that said (and read), if you still need help, don't be afraid to post your issue in a separate thread with a descriptive title of the problem you're having. (Usually subject headings like ";NEED HELP!!!"; don't get a very good response.) The experts in this forum will be more than happy to help you if you have read the FAQ's and the documentation that comes with Virtual Drumline (manual, read me, etc.).
Also, (and this is crucial), you need to post your computer specifications and as outlined in the link provided to you by Fliggity; and let us know which music notation program & version you are using (ie. Sibelius 4, or Finale 2008).
We are here to help. Sometimes the learning curve for this technology can be frustrating, but I assure you it is worth it. There are many VDL users who started out with little to no knowledge (me included), but you can do it!
