[move]OK, I just received my copy of VDL, WOO WHOOO! I followed the install directions, but I have obviously missed something. I don't see any reference to VDL in Finale08 nor do I understand how the program works as a stand alone. I need some 1st grade help right now. Can someone please help me! My enthusiasm is fading fast.
Sorry I forgot to mention I am using Windows Vista.

A good place to start would be the user manual that installs with VDL. You'll find it in the ";Documentation"; folder within your ";Virtual Drumline 2.5"; folder. Before you post with questions, I'd recommend reading the links Owen Taylor provided you, and be aware of the forum guidelines here: https://www.tapspace.com/forums/index.php?topic=436.msg1557#msg1557
Typically, posts not providing specific details about what you've actually done, and being in a general state of panic generally don't receive much help. You'll be amazed at the amount of information contained within the user guide. I think if you start there, and diligently determine what's not clear, you'll be better equipped to understand what questions to ask (if you still even have any questions at that point).

Make sure you watch the videos and read the documentation. You may need to uninstall and just try it again. I would also follow such standard practices as making sure nothing else is running on your system while you install and use the search feature in this forum for those with Vista since they may encounter similar problems.
In general, if you want help directly from the people in this forum, you need to be painstakingly descriptive of what the problem is.
