Basic Help!

I just bought Sibelius 5 and VDL 2.5.  I just want to know how to put the many different vdl sounds on the notes I've inputed into Sibelius. How do I make my eighth notes sound like a short buzz, stick click, etc.? I already have my playback device set to vdl but I only get one sound for each of the marching drums. I'm not using a midi keyboard, just my MacBook Pro. I'm sure the answer is really simple but I still can't figure it out. Please help, this is really frustrating me!

Sounds like you haven't read through all of the help material or downloaded the Tapspace Sibelius template.  The manual has the keymaps so you can access the assortment of wonderful sounds in the library.
Thanks for the reply.  I tried loading the Sibelius VDL template, but a prompt shows up saying that the file cannot load because it is not a music xml file.  But it is an xml file.  I think it may have something to do with the versions of Sibelius and VDL that I'm using, but I'm not sure. I'm using VDL 2.5.1 and Sibelius 5.1.

The ";Template"; is a .sib file, the xml file is the sound set and goes in the sound sets folder in your Sibelius directory.
