I have VDL2 and want to use it with Sibelius 5.1. What are my options? I can't use Kontakt Player 2 obviously, but is just VDL2 even compatible with Sibelius 5? I can't find a sound set for VDL2 anymore on the Tapspace site, only old Sibelius templates.

If I have to, I can go back to Sibelius 4 but I really want to use the new software.

VDL2 isn't officially supported in Sibelius 5. Your best bet would be to upgrade to VDL 2.5. It's a very inexpensive upgrade if you're a registered user. VDL 2.5 update is available directly from the Tapspace website at:

Soundsets are only applicable in Sibelius 5 for use of the new Sibelius Sound World.  You can use a virtual midi cable (windows) or the IAC driver (Mac) to play back scores using VDL2.
