I have a Mac Book Pro 10.5.4, 2.2 Ghz Intel, 2GB 667 MHz DDR2 SDRAM, running Sibelius 5.2, and VDL 2.5
I've watched the tutorials, checked FAQ, read some forum posts, and done all of the downloads. I've put the files in the correct folders but I still can't get the VDL sounds to appear in the Sibelius Play screen like on the tutorial. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Try this: (Quit Sibelius before doing this)
1. Go to /Users/[your username]/Library/Application Support/Sibelius Software/Sibelius 5/ 2. Delete the 'PlogueEngine' folder. 3. Delete the 'Playback Configurations' folder. 4. Delete 'PlaybackConfig.xml'. 5. Go to /Users/[your username]/Library/Preferences. 6. Trash com.sibelius.sibelius5.plist. 7. Empty the Trash. 8. Run Sibelius again.
This process allows Sibelius to rescan your computer upon startup for new VI and soundsets. If everything is indeed installed in the correct place then you should see VDL show up. Let us know your progress.

Thanks Gabe for the information. But, it didn't work. Should I just uninstall everything and start over?

My hunch is that you probably missed a step without realizing it. I would recommend you re-view the tutorial videos, paying extra close attention to the various bits of terminology used. Sometimes new users get confused between the various terms like sound sets, instruments, patches, drum maps, libraries, plugins, templates.
In order for it to work, you'll need to replicate the steps exactly as they were designed.
If you still feel confused, the 100% surefire solution would be to carefully read the information in the README that comes included with the VDL/Sibelius 5.2 Template. If this is all new to you, you may have to be a little patient as you learn the various bits of new terminology, but all the steps for getting up and running are indeed listed there in print.
