I want to convert my playback for a percussion arrangement to an MPG file so I can give the MPG to our drill writer so he can hear what it will sound like. I have not tried this yet. Can I do this with VDL 2.5 or is there some other software I need to do this?
Just curious, why does it need to be an MPG? If you're using VDL 2.5 as a VST plug-in, then save as an .aiff file (Export->Audio, I think) and convert to an mp3 in iTunes. That's what I do for my drill guys and I would imagine most do as well.

I would like to also suggest using audacity. This is a free program and I've always had great results using it. Good luck!
