I had VDL 2.5 installed on my laptop, but I recently had my pc crash. I  had it cleaned out and now I have to re-install all of my programs. Problem is, how do I re-install VDL 2.5 when I have only one serial number? Also, do I have to re-install VDL 2 first, then the upgrade version of 2.5?

Do you have an upgrade serial number on the inside of your 2.5 case? 

You don't need to install 2.0 first.  You will need to run Service Center again to authorize it and get the 2.5.1 update.

Jesse is right.  You can just use the 2.5 serial number, and then run Service Center again to authorize.  It should let it through without any issues.
