Need some help adding vocals

Hey friends,

I'm having some trouble here....

I'm writing a stadium cheer for my friend's line and want to add vocals. I'm using Finale 2009b and VDL 2.5.1.....When I add a new staff and choose ";Percussion"; as the notation style, and then go to choose the map, there's no ";vocal"; map on the list. It looks like everything else is there, but no vocals. Any ideas?
No vocal map was included with the Finale template. If there is enough interest I will add it to the 2009 template.

on a geek note: I'm sending this from my iPod touch.

So how can I add vocals in Finale?
Mike,

There are 2 ways to do this. You can record the vocals yourself and add the audio track to Finale. This is a feature which was added in FIN08. If you want the vocals as a staff within your score, you would need to create your own percussion map for the VDL vocals. Understand that the vocals included with VDL are limited. I'm not sure what your exact needs would include. There is a keymap of the vocal content in the VDL manual. If you haven't already taken a look at these, I suggest you do so as to better define how the vocals can help in creating your finished product.

I figured it out! I had never tried to create a Percussion Map before, and didn't realize actually how easy it is. And yeah, I saw the keymaps and now they make a whole heck of a lot more sense now that I dove into map creation. Thanks for the help!
Glad you were able to figure everything out. Stop back if you have more questions.

BTW, I noticed in your signature it says Hocking College. Is that in SE Ohio? I ask because I'm in Cincy.
