I can't get GarageBand to recognize my samples. I'm sure I could eventually get it to, I'm just not in a position to where I can take the time to actually do it:)

I want to make a better quality recording of a full marching band show. Is making mp3's of each track (12 wind tracks, 15 percussion tracks), importing into GB and tweaking from there a viable option?

Don't use mp3s. GB should recognize wav and aiff files. drag these into GB, mix down and then send it to iTunes to make an mp3 of the whole file.
