Computer Compatibility and Set-up

Can I run Virtual Drumline 2.5 with this setup and if not, what can I do to make it work without buying a new computer?

Yes, that system should be more then enough to run VDL alongside a notation/sequencer.  The only thing I would consider is an upgraded sound card, perhaps a pro audio card (M-Audio, Edirol, etc.) that is ASIO compatible.

Which one and why does it have to be ASIO compatible?
RealTek soundcards and basically bottom end (quality wise) devices that are OK for playing CDs and Youtube videos, but when using high end applications such as Finale/Sibelius with VDL 2.5 you can encounter a lot of latency or low quality playback.
