Hello everyone, When I write rolls using Snareline manual (MW) I use alternating right and left hand as my base, put in my slashes and then apply TG tools. Well during playback the right hand diddles sounds way different then the left (which it is suppose to)but, The difference between hands is so great that it makes my rolls sound like crap. Is there a way to fix this or should I just use all right hand for rolls? I don't like using all right hand for rolls, so I really hope there is a fix.

Let me see if I understand... if you want a 16th note base, does that mean you type in 16th notes alternating R/L and then add your slashes? Do you do that so your players know what roll base to use?

yeah, if I want a 9 stroke roll I will write four 16th notes and then put in the slashes and apply tg tools. my problem is when I write the 16th notes i write it RLRLR...when I play back the roll the difference between the right hand sound and the left hand sound is very different and the roll dosnt sound good. I know the right hand and left hands are suppose to sound different so it sounds more natural as if a real person was playing it. My question is how do I make the right hand not sound so much different then the left.

I'm not sure if it will get you what you want, but it sounds like a live velocity issue. Play with your live velocity settings until they get how you want.
Or you could try the layering thing.
Use the ";sustained roll"; for the desired length in Layer 2, and then hide it (ctrl-shift-H). Then you can put the base you want (16ths, triplets, etc.) in layer 1 with a Live Velocity setting of 0.
