Suggestions for Future VDL Updates

I searched this topic before creating this post but couldn't find what I had in mind. If a thread dealing with this topic exists already and I just missed it, feel free to direct me to it. :)

Basically I just wanted there to be a way that users can ask the developers to create sounds for future updates because there are a couple of things I would love to see in VDL. (Sorry if the following list comes across as ungrateful or demanding in any way; I love the program and am appreciative of its creators for making such a great product!)

In the future I would love to be able to work with:
[li]RH, LH, and double stop crushes for Snares, Tenors, and Basses
[/li]
[li]An extra short crush in addition to the two crush lengths that already exist for Snares, Tenors, and Basses[/li]
[li]Possibly a sound for flams for Snares, Tenors, and Basses (I only ask this because the grace notes in Sibelius sometimes sound screwy during playback)[/li]
That's all for right now, but I'll repost if I think of more suggestions. If anyone else has anything to ask for, feel free to post here. Thanks for reading and considering these requests!

By beat box vocal sounds do you mean the standard stuff or the ";drumspeak"; type stuff :)  Maybe Jim can get ahold of the BD line from a few years ago and sample them ;)

Yes.....  ;)
Another request: Bass Drum unison sounds specific to basslines containing 4, 5, and 6 basses.

1.  Small, Medium, Large Frying Pan sounds
2.  Tin Cans (ala John Cage)
3.  Beat-Box vocal sounds

Just a few that would make VDL even more interesting and versatile.

1. You should be able to enter both crushes at the same time and get a double notehead that sit side by side with the stem

I only said double stop because I'm pretty sure the two crush samples are double stops already, so I was just clarifying that I want the RH, LH, and super short crushes in addition to the dry and fat crushes (which I assume were played as double stops when recording the samples) that already exist.

Right you are!

1. You should be able to enter both crushes at the same time and get a double notehead that sit side by side with the stem between them. Should... I'm not at my home computer to test what I just said.

2. I'm with you on a really short crush. I write this a lot and haven't found a way to manipulate the sound in Sibelius.

3. You should be able to adjust your flams within Sibelius by dragging the flam either closer or further away from the note depending on where you want it placed or, I guess, interpreted. It seems like you should be able to do some universal editing within Sibelius (plugin maybe) to keep this consistent between projects.

Also, if the guys at Tapspace recorded flams, then it would either be a really tediuos project of recording a gazillion different interps of flams (and getting the line to play it clean...) or if they recorded one generic flam sample, it still might not be the way folks want it heard.

To their credit though, I don't think many of us (especially us rank and file music educators) would have imagined a program like this even five years ago. Now, after it's inception and growth we can start to see how wide open your creativity gets with what all could be included in future updates. For me, it's almglocken and log/slit drums.

Otherwise, I am one HAPPY camper!
