Some of us have had to work with a file that was brought in via XML from Sibelius into Finale.  We have also seen that these notes are not the same midi pitches that they are supposed to be in order to play the correct marching percussion sounds in Finale.  Here is a video on how to change that without having to change anything in the Percussion Map Designer and retype the mappings.  You MIGHT still have to go into the Percussion Map Designer and edit the placement on the staff to your liking but this will allow you to work with what you were given. 

This would be a great way to edit a score from Sibelius to make it work with Finale and VDL Maps
