Today, Sibelius announced their latest version - Sibelius 6. You can read about it and its various features here.
Please note that we'll be in the process of updating a VDL template specifically for Sibelius 6 users, however folks who've purchased the 5.2.5 template should be in safe shape to continue with their current template/sound set with the exception of a few minor, manual tweaks which will be posted in due course.

Man, that Magnetic Layout and the DAW interface are worth the price alone!

I don't know a lot about rewire, but does this mean that I can finally use Sibelius to ";play"; Logic/GB in realtime? (without exporting a midi file)
For example, using my sibelius to trigger my logic audio instruments?
From wikipedia rewire entry... ";This allows, for example, the output from synthesizer software to be fed directly into a linear editor without the use of intermediate files or analog transfers.";

I'm was gonna upgrade to 5.2.5, now I'm just gonna wait another year, buy my mac with graduation money, and get Sibelius 6.
Absolutely Amazing!

I guess I am stupid or something, but I can't find how much it costs for registered users to upgrade...............I am guessing $99? Bueller?..........anyone? Chris
I see now............you have enter your serial # for it to give you your upgrade price. I guess I should have just not been so impatient and read a little further.............Thanks!
Try this:
Mine came up as $169. Sibelius 6 Competitive Crossgrade Edition. I can't believe I get hosed every time a new version comes out. That's an interesting way to encourage loyalty. Oh well....I'm waiting a bit anyway.

Mine too, I have an email out the info@sibelius.com to see what they can do. The $129 is for the educational upgrade.

I found out that if you bought and registered Sibelius 5 after April 2009 the upgrade is free.

April 6th is the cut-off. If you registered Sibelius 5 for the first time on or after April 6 you are entitled to an amnesty upgrade.
